Transition

etherial milkweed silk and seeds
robust vibrant life,
animated, growing, strong,
one day yields to death,
withering in transition
to be faithfully reborn.

  1. So loved this post. My husband and I were just talking about how beautiful milkweed is when it bursts out of its pod. I also am entranced into taking photographs of this beautiful plant…and the best thing is that it is the best host plant for monarch butterflies.

    1. Thank you. I’m glad you liked it! I too have been entranced by milkweed. It has such an etherial quality to it. I took so many pictures of it this year that I had a hard time choosing which photos to include in this post…. and yes the butterflies are daintily a bonus. That’s why I let it grow in my unruly garden wherever it pops up 🙂

    1. Short bursts of thought which might pass as poems are a lot easier for me to generate than paragraphs of words 🙂
I’ll be heading over to your blog now to see your post…

    1. Thank you! I’m still trying to master the camera settings for movement to capture it somewhere between frozen and total blur… All that while trying to throw the ball and keep the game going 🙂
