It looks like this little dog has his owner trained to focus on the bubble quite well! 😉

“Fill your house with stacks of books, in all the crannies and all the nooks.” ~Dr. Seuss
I, for one, take Dr. Seuss seriously! This is a small sampling of the wide variety of books, new to well-worn, that fill our home; stacked up in random piles here and there, next to beds, on tables, cabinets, and of course, shelves. 🙂
For more Dr. Seuss fun visit my February 22, 2015 post which includes a wonderful video rendition for grown-ups of Oh, The Places You’ll Go filmed at the Burning Man Festival in the Black Rock Dessert of Northern Nevada.
The quote above is the second of three which I’ll be posting in response to the Three Quotes Challenge that Gabriele, who authors Flights of Fancy, invited me to participate in. You can find the first quote here.
This post is also my response to Jennifer Nichole Wells’s One Word Photo Challenge: Book.

Buds burst open,
squeezed through twig, branch, and bark.
Straining toward a lush green future.
Seeking the light and warmth of spring.

I took this photo one morning last week in my backyard. The sun came out strong after a soaking mix of rain and sleet. Everything was shimmering with light. The conditions were perfect to satisfy Jennifer Nichole Wells’s One Word Photo Challenge: Bokeh, and the resulting photo works for The Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge: Future, as well. Buds and new growth always speak to me of a promising future.
Thank you Jennifer N. and Jen H. for the challenges!

“And remember, no matter where you go, there you are.”
This quote, which I believe can be attributed to Confucius, is the first of three which I’ll be posting in response to the Three Quotes Challenge. Gabriele, who authors Flights of Fancy, invited me to participate in this challenge. I’m very happy to finally be responding, if perhaps not exactly by “the rules.”
Gabriele, a fellow dog lover, was one of the very first people who I “met” when I began blogging on WordPress in September of 2014. She has regularly encouraged my photography and writing efforts with likes and comments. She even noticed when I hadn’t had the time to blog for several months and sent me a lovely “hope-you’re-O.K.” note during my absence. I was so touched that someone had missed me! Thank you Gabriele for that gesture! You probably don’t realize, but it meant a lot to me and I’m most grateful!
Please check out Gabriele’s conversational blog, Flights of Fancy, which features her science fiction and fantasy writing.
Thank you Gabriele for thinking of me for the Three Quotes Challenge! 🙂
This post is also my response to Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Freeways, Expressways, Highways. Thank you, Cee, for the challenge!
