Transition

etherial milkweed silk and seeds
robust vibrant life,
animated, growing, strong,
one day yields to death,
withering in transition
to be faithfully reborn.

Mauve

IMG-5798-2-mauve-orchid-4x3cp-terry-boswell-wm

Yesterday it snowed again here in the western edge of the Hudson Valley, New York. Perhaps soon we’ll have some spring color like these blooms display. I photographed them a few years ago at the New York Botanical Gardens in the Bronx.

The NYBG presents a spectacular orchid show every year. This year the show began in February and runs until April 19th.

This post is my response to the One Word Photo Challenge: Mauve. Thank you Jennifer for the challenge!
